Niederwaldsee

On a different bike ride, I came across this hidden lake in Bensheim. There is a path around the entire body of water, which makes for a very pleasant walk.




























Although swimming is verboten, we've seen people doing it anyway, and it seems like a good place to train for a triathlon!

There are even lily pads with little pink flowers that add to the scenery. In case you've ever wondered (like me) lily pads are rooted in the lake bottom, not just floating on the surface.














Hopefully we'll be back to enjoy this magical lake!
