St. Veit - Skiing

We left Lech and headed straight for St. Veit, Austria, for 3 more days of skiing (8 days of skiing in 9 days). A lot of Americans were there with Seigi Tours, the company that planned the 4 day weekend.

The area was good, but not quite as pretty and well done as the Arlberg area (Lech, Zurs, St. Anton, etc.).

Here is a view of the mountain range, lots more trees here. For context, the top of the mountains here are below the town of Zurs.

Three couples including us stayed here in the Dopplerhof.

Our friend Kim losing the limbo contest...

...Ashley winning the limbo contest, our proudest moment. That's Sven, the emcee, he's weird.

Cow-milking contest, apparently the fun never stops. I think you had to milk the cow enough so the wolf doesn't eat you, I don't know why Ashley is smiling.

And our friend Kyle again. He wore that for all 4 days, I'm not so sure about him.

Lech - Skiing

We traveled to Lech this year for 5 days of skiing and hanging out with friends. We stayed in the Haus Theresia, booking the whole house with 8 people. Skiing during the days, dinner and games at night.

Great view of the mountains.

We found routes to get from Lech to Zurs, and from Zurs to Lech using the "Weiss Ring." If you look closely you can see mountain goats.

Here is a view of Lech that we found skiing from Zurs via ski routes (ungroomed). The best views were definitely attained while skiing.

Our friend Kyle, he's a little slow, but we like him anyway.

Are my goggles big enough? And Iowa State is officially in a rebuilding decade, but I'm still supporting them on the mountain.

And finally, the best part of this page is the following video. I disappeared into Narnia, and it took me 3 days to find my way out, damn Ice Queen.
